KNIS RETRO MODERN Watch
A retro-modern Japanese watch that combines classic elements and vintage inspiration with contemporary design and technology.
Adopts the traditional double-layered "sandwich dial" dial and the "Cobra hands" often used in military and pilot watches from the 1940s. The sand beige Super Luminova applied to the indexes and hour and minute hands creates a retro atmosphere.

The double-layered dial "sandwich dial" has a structure in which two dials, the upper and lower, are stacked on top of each other. The upper dial has cut-out index and number markers, and the luminous material "Super-LumiNova" on the lower dial can be seen through the cut-outs.
Adopts Swiss-made "Super Luminova"
Swiss-made Super-LumiNova is a material that offers superior visibility, long-lasting luminescence, durability, and environmental friendliness compared to typical luminous paints. It absorbs and stores light, allowing it to shine brightly for long periods of time in darkened environments. You can clearly see the time and hands even at night or in low-light environments, and it has the property of continuing to emit light for a longer period of time than other phosphorescent materials.
Adopts classic "cobra needle"
The so-called "cobra needle", whose needle tip is shaped like a cobra, faithfully reproduces the design from the 1940s. The combination with Super Luminova, a sandy beige color with a retro feel, goes perfectly. It has the atmosphere of an elegant antique watch.
The movement is made by Citizen MIYOTA.
The use of a Japanese-made movement with high precision and reliability reflects the brand concept of wanting the product to be used for many years to come. In the unlikely event that a movement malfunction occurs, it is easy to secure parts and you can rest assured about the after-sales service.
Adopts sapphire glass
Sapphire glass is a highly pure and sophisticated glass used for the windshield of luxury watches and for optical experiments. Its excellent transparency makes the dial easier to see, and it is much more scratch resistant than mineral crystal glass.
The band uses a 5-row stainless steel band.
The combination of hairline finish and polished finish creates a deep texture and refines elegance.
The buckle adopts a one-push double door opening type.
The appeal is that it can be opened wide, so you can put it on and take it off without stress. The buckle is located directly behind the watch, making it comfortable to wear and providing excellent stability.

We selected a 38mm case diameter, opting for a smaller size compared to many brands that offer models with larger faces. Our emphasis was on achieving a balanced design, ensuring the dial is neither too large nor too small while maintaining a strong presence.

しばらく身に纏っての感想です。
「スーツや青シャツなどにとても似合います ！」
なんか出来る男に格上げされた感が演出されます。(笑)
もちろん普段使いに於いても「カッコいい!」と感じさせる逸品です。
文字盤の黒は光源の状況により、栗の皮のような渋い焦げ茶っぽく見えたり、紫帯びた黒のように見えたり。その時は、この時計を持つ悦びを感じたりも。
私は運動系のスマートウォッチからの機械式腕時計への回帰組です。かなりご無沙汰のステンレススチールベルトだったこともあり、「ピン抜き式の駒調整」と「バネ棒外しを用いた弓カン付のベルトの脱着」は本当に良い実習教材にもなりました。
当初、弓カン付のベルトの取付に大苦戦して２日程要しました。まさに涙目状態でした。
(繰り返し脱着を繰り返し)今は朝に出かける前にも余裕でベルト交換を楽しめるようになりました。
あと、折に触れて思うのですが「KNISさんはメンズウォッチ専業メーカー!?」なのでしょうか?
例えば、径32mmラインなどがあれば、ユニセックスサイズとなり、男女ともに購買層となります。
私は32mmラインを物色中でもあります。
32mmラインは競合さんの参入が少ない間隙を捉えた市場だと思います。
