KNIS, a Japanese watch brand born in Kyoto in 2021

Inheriting the traditional yet sophisticated Kyoto manufacturing spirit,

It was founded with the desire to deliver high-quality Japanese-made watches from Kyoto to people all over the world.

While being conscious of the design that is ``one or two quirks'' that will surprise those who see it,

We aim to create products that can be used by people of all ages for many years to come.

Arai, the brand's founder, started working at an online watch sales company at the age of 23 after graduating from university.

After that, I became independent at the age of 26 and founded LIME Co., Ltd., and have been selling various brands of watches for over 15 years.

Among them, I felt strongly that the quality of Japanese-made watches was better than those made overseas even in the same price range.

Not only do we have a low initial failure rate, but we also notice that the frequency of requests for repairs is extremely low.

In addition, many people use even inexpensive watches for more than 10 years.

Currently, the watch market is shrinking, and the spread of mobile phones and smartphones that have penetrated since the 2000s,
The wristwatch industry has been in a difficult situation due to the spread of smartwatches since around 2015.

Meanwhile, in the current situation where products are overflowing with products made overseas, we launched KNIS in the hope that Japanese people would reaffirm the merits of meticulous and accurate manufacturing made in Japan.
